HERE’S HOW ‘SMART’ PEOPLE CAN
BECOME MORE SUCCESSFUL
iit Alumni of Greater Houston
WEBINAR
Wednesday, Sep 14, 2023 7pm Central
Despite our intelligence and education, many of us ask ourselves, “I am ‘smart’. Why am I not more successful?” Some others ask, “I am already successful. How can I become even more successful?” Ram Iyer is an MIT alum who asked himself those questions after facing a stunning setback ten years ago. That led him on a journey of introspection and research that resulted in key insights. He discovered 16 factors that enabled (or disabled) the success of ‘smart’ individuals. During his talk, he will share those factors and provide game-changing insights as to why this happens, and how each one of you can become more successful – irrespective of how successful you currently are.
As a benefit to our alumni, we have arranged for you to take his insightful assessment, ‘Is Your Intelligence Enabling or Disabling Your Success?’($198 value) for FREE using the following discount code at checkout: IIT-Houston-Sep2023 – click on https://www.businessthinking.com/assessments/is-your-smartness-enabling-or-disabling-your-success/. You will get a report identifying your enabling and disabling factors.
Ram will create a composite profile of all the club’s alumni who take the assessment so you can see which factors impact success across the alumni community, and you can see how your enablers and disablers compare with those of your fellow alumni. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights to greater success.

SPEAKER BIO
Ram Iyer is an engineer with a business degree who has worked at Boeing and Lucent, was a VC in Silicon Valley, and is on his fifth startup. He has two master’s degrees, one from MIT, a business degree. He has worked in the business for over 30 years and has reached several highs and lows.
MONEY magazine labeled him “The Comeback Kid” and MIT Sloan listed him as a distinguished alum. He’s been featured in dozens of magazines including Money, Fortune, CIO and CFO. He’s spoken at MIT, Harvard, Princeton, as well as public events with audiences as large as 3,300. He is an engaging speaker who speaks from extensive experience, and will share insights and stories on how you too can become more successful. His website is www.MiTRamiyer.com.
Like many of you, he has had successes and failures in life. He had one significant failure that almost bankrupted him and he then spent 10 years introspecting, talking to friends and colleagues, personal development ‘gurus’, mentors and accomplished people, to figure out why he had failed. His insight… HE WAS THE OBSTACLE to his own success.
One of his ‘issues’ was that he was a graduate of an elite school. He then reflected, researched and figured out why many ‘smart’ people do not achieve the level of success commensurate with their high intelligence – and how they can become more successful. He developed an assessment with practicing psychologists that can pinpoint each individual’s enablers and disablers, and developed tools and worksheets on how to leverage/mitigate them to BECOME SMARTER & MORE SUCCESSFUL.
